04.01.2010 - It's April!

Oh wow, it's April! Has anyone else realized that a 1/4 of the year is gone already? A QUARTER!! Crazy how time flies .. and I'm trying to remind myself that Titus is four years old .. FOUR!!

So over the weekend, we had brunch with Justin and Irene and Shafeez! ^_^ We went to Chateau Louis and though it was a bit pricey, it was absolutely D-LISH!! We ate so much! We sat in the lounge area .. which was kind of odd .. but the bar had a gigantic salt water aquarium in the middle. Which meant fish. Which meant Nemo and Dory. Yeah, you probably guess it .. Titus went ape $%@! for the aquarium. He ran into the bar and tried to play but wouldn't come back to the table. I got upset. I took the little guy, kicking and crying, to my car and sat him in there. I wouldn't let him leave until he finally agreed "no more fish." Harsh yeah .. but if I don't do it, no one else will. Otherwise, he was pretty good ^_^ He found watermelon again! It was like .. a long lost love or something. Haha!

Let me tell you something about D: He's a very lovable guy. He does things that would make one go "Awwwwwwww!!" Even though he honestly doesn't look capable of happy feelings ..

Anyways, he was carrying a tray of raw ingredients to the tennpan to cook for his wonderful customers. Well, there's a policy with Japanese Village that the chef's must wear dress shoes. D's shoes had no grip. He slips, shouts "WOAAAH!", the tray hits the floor, and the food is splattered across the tiles. The tables were absolutely full of customers and everyone had seen the incident but no one said a thing. Not a peep. D smiles and says, "Go ahead and laaaaugh!" He cleans up and when he comes back, he decides to hold the tray with two hands this time and literally tiptoes to the tennpan. This time, the customers did laugh. ^_^

Going back to brunch, we had all gathered back at the table but D was no where to be seen. He comes strolling back a few mintues later, two plates on each hand. "Man, I waited an extra five minutes for these FRESH WAFFLES!!!" Well, he tried to put the plate down but I think he hit the barstool or the corner, cuz that plate of scrumptious waffles flipped and dropped like a bomb over Pearl Harbor. I think all of us of us peed ourselves laughing. That was probably my highlight of the day~

And then we went to the mall to kill a couple hours!

I discovered a new ramen shop in Chinatown. Okay I didn't actually discover it, my friend Eddie told me about it ... Samurai Bistro!! It's small but heck it sure is tastey! I recommend it for anyone who wants to have noodles and stuff! It's Chinese owned though .. but heck it's good all the same!! Yay for food!! And look at their little tea pot! It's so cute!! And they gave me REAL CRAB! Haha! And the prices were very very decent and reasonable!!

e

I've been kind of sick the past few days, with a runny nose and a sore throat. Yesterday, it hit me hard. I was at work and I was sweating so bad, but I was so cold and I was shivering in my chair with the heater on. At first I didn't plan on going in but there were two people who were on vacation anyways and our receptionist would be all alone. So I planned to leave after she finished her lunch. But man! That little while was so hard!! And I dropped by to see my insurance person cuz they were lowering my insurance .. and holy craps, near the end I went to their bathroom and threw up. =( There was nothing really cuz I didn't eat much that day .. then after an excruciating 15 minute drive to D's house (there was an accident and I wanted to cry cuz I was stuck in traffic!!) I ran to his bathroom to throw up some more stomach fluid ...
I napped for maybe 15 mins which honestly felt like an hour and he gave me some medicine. He cuddled with me for a bit and I felt so much better. ^_^ Though my killer headache wasn't completely gone.. He gave me an oatmeal raisin cookie to nibble on and even then I wanted to hurl it back up. =( WynterMynt and Mr. Awesome gave me their disease virtually, I swear!!
I'm much better now though still very congested. I WILL BE BETTER! Cuz there's a hot tub party tomorrow!! Whoooooo!!!

Peace out!

02.26.2010 - The Super Itch

Hello again! It's me! The super tired me! After two weeks .. well there isn't much to tell. That's .. really the story of my life .. here we go~

About 5 days after I had my tattoo, it happened: the crazy itch. Because it scabs over and flakes, it became super irritated especially under my clothing. And since my body was rejecting the ink .. well it was a battle! I was forbidden from itching my itch! And it has come to a point that any itch that I have regardless of where it is on my body .. I refuse to itch it! I just .. end up slapping it or pressing on the spot and hoping that it'll go away .. eventually .. But it's healed over quite nicely ^___^ I enjoy this tattoo because...well, there's just a lot of things that I can't put into words. And so far, I am super happy with my decision~

I love my son. Sure he's 4 years old and has the strength of a small warthog .. but the things he does is just so uncanny. This morning as we headed out of my apartment and towards the car, he was super ecstatic about the fresh snow on the ground. He bolted out there and made a bee line for my vehicle. It's inevitable but as the weather is warming up a bit, out comes the birds and the treasure seekers. There was a man who had maybe 3 large garbage bags going through the dumpster, and to put it lightly, he was seeking treasure. ^_^

Now don't get me wrong, it's not that I think all people who go through the trash are dangerous, but I do live in a somewhat unsafe area of the city and I had no clue what this man is capable of at 7.30 am. I mean, there's apparently a good 25 crack houses within a 5 km radius and there's a major street just two blocks south that's known for it's history of prostitution and .. drunk hockey fans. .. Man .. I've been here a year and I never really listed how many things can go wrong here ..

Anyways, Titus has made a mad rush to my car and sees this gentleman searching through the dumpster. He jumps up to him and yells in a childish accented manner: "Hay! Wat arr yoo doooeeng!?" There were too many thoughts zipping through my head but one of them was Holy crap is this man going to be offended and attack us now?! I mean .. my car was parked next to the damn thing.
Thankfully .. the man had a good laugh as I stood there practically mortified.. but after sitting and rethinking it, it was hilarious ^_^

Lately I've been hooked on Twitter .. no thanks to WynterMynt. Jeez, I just typed @ right before it o__O See what you're doing to me woman!? Why!?

I love WynterMynt .. why must you ask? Because she's toughed through so much and still stands tall!! Plus she's so talented .. she thrives in areas that I've only ever attempted at .. so when I look at her, I am inspired and my imagination goes wild. I don't always get to put it on paper though which is a bit of a sadness. She's been constantly talking to me about tattoos and heck, it's making me want to finish mine ASAP (but I can't because I'm going to hot springs at the end of April and I'd rather be safe than story) and partially consider more .. which .. I don't think I can .. or more like I don't think I should... Considering I cried like a little pansy and went through an excruciating amount of pain .. Ah .. we'll see ..

I threw ideas at her for some tattoos and explained why I had the lotus and why I chose the koi. There's a lot of symbolism and frankly, I think that's what a tattoo should be. It should be so it'll make you look like some gangster or cult leader (same thing, different pile), but it should be something that you can look upon and be amazed at the art, but at the same time give you some hidden meaning that others cannot perceive upon first glance. It should be the same as a person, sure they're pretty to look at and stare at, but if you get to know them, you'll really know the meaning behind them if they trust you.

Oh and here was my pasta and soup dinner! It's a cream of broccoli and .. something cheese soup by Knorr~ I love their stuff ^_^ It's different but it's so darn good... Mmm...

It's short, and sweet, but I must leave you here tonight as I go and cuddle with my boy and .. Spiderman .. And what am I doing? Don't ask .. I had an orange sorbet whilst typing this .. Gmought~

03.17.2010 - What hurts more ..

Hello all! Yes, I've been slow .. but my arm is starting to hurt really really bad from my data entry job .. nothing I can do but wear my wrist brace more often ..

Anyways, my week was very .. bland. But my weekend, however, as extra special!! Let me tell you what happened:

On Saturday, we had dim sum!! We ate with Justin and Irene at Dynasty. I love them .. they're odd but happy, just like us!!

That night, there were two birthdays happening and a friend was hosting a jewelery party at her home. I went to Ami's house first and admired all the pretty jewelery that was on display. I am a huge fan of art and I believe metal crafts are also an art form. It's like molding .. but with metal. I wanted to purchase this one silver ring but .. finances aren't that great to me and with the amount of jewelery that my mother has left me, I think I'll be all right for a very long time. ^_^
Titus loved her dog! He kept playing fetch and they even laid around for a while!! That dog is going to be a wonderful companion. His name is Philos and I find it a very fitting name for such a happy puppy!!

Afterward was Thao's birthday dinner. I thought of bringing Titus along but it would be a lot of driving back and forth so I was able to drop him off earlier. Do not mistaken, Titus loves that family. So much that when I dropped him off, he asked, "Mommy, where you going?" Me: "Me and Dat are going to go out!" Titus: "Okay, you go outside!" He proceeded to open the door, pushed me out, and said, "Buh bye, mommy! Love you! Bye!!" And it closed. I stood there for a bit, "...Love you too ..?" It made me sad but at the same time, I know he now knows that I'm not abandoning him there for good, that he knows I'll be back! Oh I love my baby!

Anyways, we ate at Japanese Village and D purposely worked that night so he could cook for all of us! It was wonderful ^_^ I saw Johnny, whom I believe I haven't seen for a few months .. D did his usual awing spatula tricks! I purposely ordered fried rice so I could see his egg tricks, and I was blown away! To flick a raw egg in the air and catch it again and again on a spatula is eye opening! But he missed and it fell and cracked .. .. but I was still impressed!!
I changed afterward, into a little cocktail dress that my mother sent me from Toronto. I actually don't have a full shot of it but this is the best I can do .. I curled my hair and put on my face and made myself glow~ D liked it too ^_~

After dinner, we partied it up at Prohibition and ran into *gasp* JinJerry!! The tallest Asian I've ever known! And WynterMynt was able to come along!! Oo I love that girl, have I mentioned that? How much I love her? Oh yes, I do love her ..
She took all these pictures .. I didn't realize until now that she's not in any of them .. well until JinJerry posts them, I get her HAND!!

Then it was Emi's birthday at Empire! I am not usually a fan of the place, but thankfully, Harman B was playing and I thoroughly enjoy his mixes! I got DRUNK and I enjoyed myself as much as my little body can let me!! Here's some pictures:

Titus slept over so the next day, after I dropped D off at work, I got my little man! He looked like he had too much fun .. but he sure was ready to leave. ^_^ He slept with the youngest daughter and apparently took up the whole bed .. she has a twin sized mattress. I have a double and I usually don't get enough room to sleep with .. I can't imagine how that feels. =\

Then .. for the grande finale of Sunday night, we went for a surprise dinner for WynterMynt!! Her boyfriend had been planning it for the whole week and I was part of it .. I had been talking her throughout the day, telling her how excited I was that she was going to watch a movie. But I knew she wasn't .. check out her blog to find out how that day went: http://wynterdollie.blogspot.com/2010/03/surprise.html

Yes I took two pictures that night .. I'm a terrible photographer .. My camera died ... but look, aren't they a sexy couple? They were distracted and I took the picture on a whim, but holy crappers they look good together!! Their personalities fit even more better when you see it ... it's like watching a love story form, but by little bit....

Okay, I made that as short as I could because MONDAY WAS A LONG DAY.

In the morning, D and I went to Titus' school again for an in class visit, to find out what they did in class. I .. didn't take pictures as I forgot my camera at home ... Fail.
But Titus showed us how they hunted for bears in the classroom, and we bolted around the gym and bowled and rode scooters, even hoisted a turtle in a net up from the floor and abruptly dropped him like a bag of poop!! LITERALLY!!
I don't think D and I have done that much physical activity in nearly a year .. it was very interesting ... Both of us were out of breath .. but we had to keep going .. Titus loved it. ^_^

After I dropped the little one off at his regular sitter's, D and I went to Cora's to visit WynterMynt at work and to eat lunchies. I underestimated the time service and ended up half hour late for our next appointment .. but needless to say I enjoyed my brie and ham eggs benedict!! We then promptly rushed to our massage appointment .. I had at first booked for a 45 minute massage, but because of my tardiness, it turned into a half hour ..
I highly suggest going to Best Foot Forward for massages, Erin there has the hands of a goddess .. It just melts you away...
We picked up Titus after and took him to McDonalds. Not for the food mind you, but so he could eat some fries and play in the play area!! And he played for a good 30 mins because when we were leaving, he made a fuss, not a peep. He came with us and said politely "bye bye donods!"
Everyday I'm finding more reasons why I enjoy motherhood so much ...
Sadly, I dropped him off with Thao again. And again, Titus said bye bye to me! I'm so proud of the fact that he's not terrified that I'll leave him or something! I love my baby!!

We watched Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland at the Imax theatre. And yes, although it didn't stay as true to the book like Lord of the Rings did, I believe that it was still very well though up of. I've read chunks of the book and I know that it really is a series of one odd event leading to the next and the next. There was never a real storyline. Though the movie had a weak storyline, it defined the characters more and made you feel much more attached to them. Much much more .. I personally loved it. My favorite had to be the Cheshire Cat. It wasn't purple, but its big bulging blue eyes and uncanny crooked smile drew me in. I fell in love with that cat .. but shh don't tell D!! I don't know why .. but its so .. hypnotizing ...

It's like Helena Bonham Carter .. wonderful actress. But she's a little odd .. odd enough that you just .. can't .. take .. your eyes .. off .. of .. her .............

The end of the night, the night to end most nights .. I decided on the tattoo. Now, I can't explain much to you the pain of it .. especially of the fact that the needle hit many sensitive parts .. I think it felt like the lady was carving into me with a carving knife. I cried, screamed. and sometimes I laughed .. I don't know why .. but D sat next to me the entire time as I went through a whirlpool of emotions .. and I am so thankful that he was there. He thought it was cute .. I don't know how but he sure did! Anyhow, I only had the outlining done and I'll give you the peek. I haven't shown many yet, truthfully:

In a month or two, I'll be going back to finish the shading .. and D will be there once again, letting me crush his hand and scream into his ear. ^_^ I must say, I absolutely have fallen head over heels for that man. Just the things he does and the things he says, its not all talk and no action. It's like someone decided to give me a break and gave me the opportunity to be with someone as great as he is. No one's perfect, but he's also the only one that's ever made me feel as well as I do today. For him to not freak out and run when I screamed or to tell me to shut up when I complained .. It's a god given gift, this relationship, and I intend to cherish it for as long as I am permitted. (^_____^)

I must say tho, this artist, Julia, is such a special personality. She's straight Chinese and she was very patient with me. This outline took about an hour and with such precision and grace, she made the tattoo look so elegant with so little effort. I commend her for her patience and I thank her for being so easy on me. .. oh yes .. I am going to bear hug that lady when I don't hurt as bad ...

Yes, my dear friends, that was my weekend. I've been asked what hurt more, child labour, or that tattoo. The tattoo hurt the most as it crept up the side of my boob, the front of my abdomen, and certain spots between ribs and flesh .. It's not comparable to labor. Internal and external pain is very different. But I personally think it was well worth it .. I didn't do this for fun or to make myself look cool .. it has a lot of special meanings, hidden or obvious. I walked after childbirth and I damned well walked with a little limp after this!! I am invincible!!

No I'm not .. I'm going to cry again in a few months ...

Hope you enjoyed~ I really need to go to bed now .. take care and Happy St. Patrick's Day!!

03.12.2010 - Titus Turns Four!

So it's been forever and a day since I blogged and golly gee, I really am sorry ^^/" So I'm at work 15 minutes early and I thought, why the hell not. HERE GOES!
Two weeks ago, my little guy turned four and truthfully, as the fact is put on the table in front of me, life is just zipping past my eyes as much as I wish it would slow down. I had many friends join us and although no one has children or children his age (thankfully), I think the adults had as much fun as kids would. ^_^

I traditionally went for a Chinese dinner, usually consisting of Peking Duck and other assorted dishes, but for once, I changed it up. Mostly because Titus is so much older and is able to appreciate more things now. Prepping for the party was a little chaotic ... I kept planning and planning for a month but never actually put any action in until the last week. Yes .. I procrastinate .. but I assure you I work better under pressure (not by peers I mean) and deadlines. I spent $40 at Dollarama (not sure how) and my Ice Princess came by the night before to help me put party favors together! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!

We ordered 9 pizzas from Papa Johns and my goodness, they were pretty much devoured!! And thank you to D for covering that part!!
A BIG THANKS to my Ice Princess for renting the room ^_^

The ice cream cake was wonderfully ordered by Justin and Irene ^_^ I thought the picture I got for them was very fitting! Look at this Luigi! Indulging on sweets and stuff as Mario uses him as a projectile to squish the evil little enemies!!

We went swimming at the Londonderry Rec Centre and HECK was that ever fun! TWO HOURS! Near the end I kept asking, "Titus, all done?" Titus: "Naooooo!" Me: "Titus, all done! let's go!!" Titus: "Naoo all dun!!!" I think his lips were beginning to turn blue ... But when he finally gave in, I thought it such a pity the little guy couldn't play a bit longer =\

Changing, D's little sister discovered that our shoes were stolen .. Titus' sneakers were still there but ours weren't .. gees ... why must people be so mean? At least I had 3 pairs of extra shoes in the car. Though two of them were like 3 inch pumps. I gave the flat flip flops D's mom gave me from Vietnam so she wouldn't have to prance around in heels ^_^

But a HUGE THANK YOU to everyone that came!! It was absolutely wonderful!!

One of the top reasons that my blogging has slowed is because of dance. I've agreed to help some wonderful girls from Ross Shep choreograph and teach them a Chinese Folk dance for a competition they wish to enter. I've been seeing them about twice a week and racking at my brains for this. It's wonderful, really, knowing your nation's traditional dance forms. ^__^

Also I picked up another project a while ago but since we were both so busy with work and other committments, we haven't started until recently. Back in October 2009, Yvonne had contacted me and asked me and a friend to audition for a burlesque dance troupe. I personally couldn't because I couldn't schedule the consistent time, but I agreed to help her choreograph an audition piece. I went to her place twice and pretty much choreographed the stuff on the spot. But guess what? SHE GOT IN! And apparently the judges were so impressed with the piece, that they asked her to contact me and whether or not I wanted to make up a dance for their Spring Gala that's coming up in May. I said SURE WHY NOT! And it's taken until the last week that I was able to start ..

At first I was given one song to choreograph to (Roads - Portishead) and had several sketchy ideas .. and when Yvonne and I collaborated and put our heads together, we suddenly had a vast array of costumes and colors and styles that my little brain couldn't keep up!

Because I've been blessed with such wonderful friends, I've had the privilege of some friends who are willing to help me watch Titus during certain days. I asked Yvonne if she decided to, I could perform with her, either in a duet or another solo. We came to the conclusion that we'd do both. She'd already choreographed a dance for herself, and then we added two more. So, ladies and gentlemen, I'm going to be packed with Titus, work, dance, Titus, work, dance, and repeat the afore mentioned as many times as you want!

I'm super excited because these dances are going to be more of a contemporary style which I haven't touched much in a very long time. Since we had taught dance for about 6 years, this was the first year that we hadn't at the schools, therefore I thought dance was going to slip away. But it's found me and I am so very thankful for it!

The Spring Gala is being held at Play Nightclub in downtown Edmonton and keep May 29, 2010 open because look out! It's going to be a BLAST!!

I'm also super looking forward to my special extra long weekend! I took the Monday off so I could go to Titus' school for their in class visit. Last time we made playdoh, I'm kind of excited to know what's happening next!

Then afterwards, we plan to eat lunch and me and D have a couple's massage! WHOOT! And then I want to spend a couple hours with Titus before dropping him off with Thao. I have a date with D and a couple IMAX Tickets to Alice in Wonderland!!!! KYAAAAH!!

And for the grand finale for the day .. I'm .. 90% sure of this .. I'm getting my tattoo outline. YEAH! Crazy isn't it? I've been working on an idea for like 4 years now .. and the concept is the same but the style is now much more asian. It's still an iffy iffy but I will let you know more and what it's about when I get to it ...

I just .. got to get back to work now .. my 15 mins turned into two hours .. but I worked and blogged and worked and worked. ^___^ Spank me, I've been naughty!!

Hope you all enjoy~ Everyone, BUBBLE FACE NOW!!

03.04.2010 – My "Wonderful" Mother.

My mother is .. well a special person. Yes. Very special .. She now resides in Toronto but stores a house worth of items at storage places right outside of Beaumont, Alberta. The owner of the place recently got divorced and lost the land to his ex wife who, by the by, is very moody. Anyways, so she had a week notice to move things .. and I got the lovely opportunity to supervise this moving stuff!

I was to go there at 8.00 am .. well .. I didn’t make it. One because the movers never confirmed, and two, I slept in. I got there at 9.00 am. Sat around .. sat around .. sat around .. The tow truck showed up to tow the BMW to the new location. Well .. the movers never showed up so POO ON THEM!

Anyways, the tow truck followed me to the new place and parked it. I met the owners of the place and me and Titus go to feed their horses! He was a bit apprehensive at first but he liked them much after! Even fed one! I was so scared the horse would accidentally chew off his tiny hand .. but it worked out. ^_^

D actually came with me too but .. he slept the whole entire time .. almost all of it hahahaha oh love~

Since the movers didn’t show up ..I had to back at night .. but anyways, I had lunch with D at Trang Tien .. again. I love their food!! It’s .. really a guilty pleasure , all that savory Vietnamese food. But only if its cooked right. Some days I go in and its not so great because they didn’t get the change to prep or something. Oh well!

But .. I had to go back that night at 10.00 pm. And I did. The new movers didn't show up til almost 11.30. They moved stuff into the truck .. then drove 20 mins to the new place and dropped the stuff off. This was all over at 3.00 am. The saddest part is, they didn't even finish half the job. So the absolute most horrific part .. is that I have to go back tomorrow probably alone (with Titus) and watch new people do this gruesome process all over again.

The thing that sickens me is that even though I have to drive around so much for my mother, she'll say thanks sure whatever, but request of me all these tedious little favors. And she'll guilt trip me each time I refuse to do it. "I'm just asking you to help me, why won't you help me?" Have you not noticed what I've been doing all week!? I could freak and kill something thanks to how angry she can get me, at how she can manipulate me as she does now. Sure .. a family should help each other. But a line must be drawn when someone starts to take advantage of everything.

As an example, if my little brother was to live under my roof, eat my food, and not pay a single cent, okay fine. It's only because I'm helping him since he's recently graduated high school. But if it gets to a point where he doesn't even try to get a job or go to school and just thinks "Oh, sister will take care of this and that" I'm very sure that something must be done. Either I kick him out or he gets a job. Sure it's harsh, but it'll be the push he needs to get his life on track. (This is all an example .. it's not for real ...)

With my mother .. she's been the little victim for .. about two years now? I think after this, I'm done. Cutting it off. I can't deal with it anymore. I constantly have to go out of my way to "help" her. I can't do it anymore, not because I'm lazy and what not, but because I have my own family and I have other priorities than her "stuff."

Sorry mom, but after this, I can't "help" you anymore.

02.21.2010 - How to Kill Time

By going to Ikea!!

I had Vietnamese food again with D today .. and thought I didn't take any pictures, let me tell you about our parking spot hunt:
I guess there was some event going on at Mirama, some Chinese New Year thing that had A LOT OF PEOPLE. There was apparently Lion Dancing and everything!! But no, our destination was our usual place: Trang Tien!! The parking lots literally overflowed into the restaurants next door and it was almost impossible to find a spot.

Well, after having a couple spots stolen from me by some irritable old Asian people, we found one. It was to the side of the building, and technically a sidewalk I think .. but after years and years of erosion, the walk to the building slanted probably at a good 45 degree angle but with just enough flatness for me to park. There was that one car spot and .. a giant white SUV that parked a little behind. I had to parallel park it .. on a ramp that went sideways .. and well,, needless to say I was scared.

I started part of it but could not tell how much room I had. Usually I'm all "Oh yeah, I got this than down!!" but not today. D actually got out to guide me.

I finally had a grandparent moment. My grandpa always did that for my grandmother ... ALWAYS. And I actually will tell you about that in a moment.

D was saying "Back up, back up" and I had to get my car onto the sidewalk so I had to gas it a little more for the little Honda Accord that could! And just as my car got up onto the walk ... I hear D "STOP!" Yeah I didn't stop in time. I hit the SUV.

I didn't know D could have such big eyes ... "Move up!!" A little panicky, I looked down, put my car into first, and moved up a little. But out of the corner of my eye, D disappeared from my side mirrors. And in my rear view mirror, I saw his arm, kind of flailing and disappearing down behind my car. I stopped and whipped around to see where the hell he went. All I could hear was "OW MY ASS!!"

Turns out he slipped on the slope and down on his butt .. heheheheheheh~ It was pretty funny XD Oh D .. I absolutely love every aspect of you~

Okay!! About my grandparents!! My grandma always drove vans .. not sure why .. but I've only ever seen her drive two: one blue 1980 something caravan, and a white 1990 something Ford Windstar. And whenever grandma drove, grandpa was always the pushy passenger driver, saying "you're going too fast! Turn left! Go here! STOP!!!" And when grandma had to park, grandpa would get out of the van to guide her. He'd knock on the vehicle real good to tell her that she could stop.
Now .. grandpa NEVER drove and for years I never really wondered why until I asked. The family was gathered for something when I inquired and my mom explained to me that several several years ago, grandpa was driving to some concert with his friends and got into an accident, caused by the negligence of some other people. From my understanding, the accident was very minor. Heck, I believe everyone walked away from it. But when my grandma heard about it, she forbade grandpa from driving ever again. And oddly enough .. he obeyed.

Here's the best part: grandpa wasn't even the driver of that accident.

^_____^ Yeah, me and my brother had a really good laugh from that!!

Anyways, the rest of my day was spent at Ikea!! I'm trying to look for the following: a dresser, a bookcase, and a desk!! And I saw some .. but .. didn't get it .. I also looked for maybe a mini couch for kids!! And couldn't find one .. However, I did have a fun filled 3 hrs!!

I had lots of fun getting inspired and stuff ^__^ Found a lot of interesting stuff and I am now motivated to get more things done at home so I can have a cool looking room!! BWAHAHAHAH!!

Yeah .. that was pretty much my day .. save for Titus throwing up his stomach contents and jumping on my bed as I changed the mattress cover .. yeehaw!

Stalkers
