02.16.2010 - Who knew?! Pt. 1

Hello everyone!!

I had a mostly quiet Saturday and Sunday .. but Monday was perfect ^_^

Saturday, after I blogged and started on a little something, I went to the mall to pick up my brother and in the mean time I planned to buy a money clip for D. He had mentioned several times that he wanted one so I thought "time to go hunting!!"

I was at West Ed from 5 (I got there early because I thought my brother got off at 5 .. he was off at 6 ...) And I searched that mall like a mother@#!@$!! I went EVERYWHERE!! Harry Rossen, Coach, Guess, Zara, etc etc etc =( Most of the places didn't have it .. But lo and behold! I found one! And had it engraved!! Had the box engraved!!! .. However I finally left the mall at 8.30 pm .. .. my brother complained that it was almost closing time. Well =P I'm the one driving him home muahahhaha! Anyways, I have to truly thank the lady that engraved it for me. She was absolutely swamped and I could tell she was tired and I told her no rush since I had to go back to the mall anyways the next day so I could pick it up then. She said "Why don't I do this: I've got two doggie tags to engrave, and then I'll just bump yours up and have it done right away?" I was so happy! So I walked around for a bit and decided to go to DeSerres, a wonderful art store by Sears! And as I walked past the engraving place, I realized I didn't ask her where to engrave it! And when I looked, I noticed that the box she was giving me also had a metal plate ontop and I could engrave that!!! So engraved on the box was You and only You. On the clip was DJT 08.23... D complained afterwards that I shoul've engraved DVN. Well Soooorrrryyyyyy!! You're mostly known by Djt so BLEEEH!!!

I began working on a Valentine's card that Saturday!! It wasn't a card though .. It was more of a multi picture card!!
I spent most of the week coming up with the poem to go with it .. and heck it sure took a while because I'm not very good with rhyming like D is. But I had inspiration and help from my Ice Princess and WynterMynt. When I finished and showed Lady Falcon she gave me the biggest AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAWWWW that I have ever received. Apparently she thought it was well written. And thank you!!

I wish I had more time to draw it out so it wouldn't look so super anime like .. but heck He was happy with it, and I was very happy with it ^_^

Sunday was Valentine's Day and Chinese New Year. Now this is the first year that me and my brother and Titus have spent it away from family, from our mother. And it does feel a little odd but it's not uncomfortable. After I dropped D off at work, I went straight home to work on the card. And then 5 pm rolled by and I had to go get my brother from work. Yay~ And I asked him what he wanted for dinner ... for Chinese New Year ... Now I can cook. Great. But I can't cook Chinese food. Ironic, isn't it? No one ever taught me and .. I've never attempted either ... Just cuz some of my dishes have rice next to it doesn't mean its Chinese .. hahaha So we opted for take out from Dynasty Restaurant. .. But somehow ended up staying there instead to eat their Peking Duck!! One duck, three dishes, two and a half people. Oh yeah!! We totally didn't finish eating it ...

And I was super proud of Titus too for sitting through the entire dinner~! He ate a lot ! I .. didn't get the chance to take a picture but oh well .. just know that he was a good good boy!! He ate mostly the duck skin: that greasy oily mass of meat and crispy bbq'd skin.. nom nom nom~

When I got home at 7.30 pm .. I sat crossed legged for three hours straight completing the Valentine's Card for D. I kid you not when I say three hours!! I power drove it!! I finished outlining, coloring and putting stickers on it and when I finished I swear I did a victory cheer!

However when I stood up, I literally collapsed onto my bed from the pain and numbness in my legs. =( And I had a headache from staring at the paper .. Azim kept cheering me on but I wanted to just pass out .. hahaha.


Let me tell you though, that night when I decided to give him the moneyclip and the card, I don't know who was happier, me or D. I had engraved a phrase that we use towards each other on the box and he was absolutely ecstatic~ And when he saw that the card was something I drew and made, I swear I could see him blush in the dark. It was really nice to know that something I did was appreciated so much by him.

02.13.2010 - Crazy Recap!

So I haven't posted in forever .. and soon you'll know why ^_^ But let me tell you about my adventures since Wednesday!

I've been going on a food much craaaaze~ I just can't stop eating! At work I have to have a variety of things or I just can't survive the day! And my coworkers guilt trip me each time they come by to grab a piece because it's apparently ruining their diet .. and .. they can smell the cheetos from across the office .. lol ^_^
And when I eat dinner .. I go absolutely all out !!

This is Avy (short for Avalon). As young as she looks, she's actually around 8 years old. She's getting to be an oldie!! I'm just happy that she's still so cute and tiny!! She's .. a bit of an escape artist though. She can get out of her kitchen area and terrorize my home !

I have this little doodling phase going on lately and it just won't stop! If I can doodle .. I will. I'm so horribly out of practice tho .. this is is what I used to draw in high school. Yeah it's anime, but heck I had lots of fun doing it!



And ... then there's what I've been doodling. I can't stop drawing these chibi looking pieces of crap. =( Don't stop loving me because I've downgraded!! But I need to persist!! You'll find out why ..

And I bought new pencil crayons and more stationary and sharpies!! I'M GOING ON A MASSIVE SPREEEEE!!!







I went to Titus' class on Thursday morning and had a look-see of how things go. ... They told me that he was one of the best behaved. First thought through my head was "You are lying!! There's no way!!!" And then I saw .. there were three boys building a gigantic lego tower and they were fighting over blocks, knocking it over, and hitting each other and screaming! Another boy was climbing the bookshelf and kicking and fighting the teachers. Another kid was stamping every surface he could find ... .... Me and Titus sat and watched. It was partially scary and at times, I was so grateful that Titus wasn't that misbehaved .... Very grateful ... I didn't take pictures that day because I wasn't sure if I could .. I'll ask next time ^_^

Friday night, Archbishop MacDonald High School had their annual Winter Formal, but they
merged it with Valentine's so made the halls as cute as they could .. The school is going under massive renovations and the walls and ceilings and floors were gutted out but the kids decorated it with everything that they could. My brother was asked to go back to the school and take pictures, formal portraits. And he did! And I helped!! I wish he'd post the pictures up so I could show you some of the shots I took ^_^


Speaking of pictures .. I've been finding a bit of love for photography. One of these days .. I swear .. I'm going to dress up WynterMynt and photograph her fantasy style!! One of these days ........

The best part of my mornings is when I wake up and D is snoring next to me and Titus is also passed right out. I .. just find it so peaceful. And it's even better when D decides to wake up early. I'm not kidding, today he was up at 10.30! For all of 5 mins and fell back asleep .. And then later on proceed to wrestle Titus lawwls

BUT! I did get a wonderful text message from WynterMynt to join her and Mr. Awesome for brunch! Yay for Cora's!!!

I had lots of fun this morning!! The meal was WONDERFUL!! And Titus actually ate!! He's usually horribly picky with food but for the most part he ate!!! I was proud ^_^ AND OH MY GOD!! WynterMynt gave me a Valentine's Day card!! KYAAAH~ OOOH THE LOOOOVE!!!!

And now I'm home. I have several things to do tonight and tomorrow so I gotta rush rush rush!! I hope everyone enjoyed their weekend, love filled or game filled ^^/"

02.07.2010 - Busy busy busy~

Ooooh~ I changed the layout and theme of my blog! I like it! But not sure for how long .. still kind of test running it ..

First off, sorry about my slow blogging .. I just have been swamped with stuff lately..
Last week a former dance student of mine texted me and asked if I could help choreograph a quick dance for her school for two girls. I said sure. And quite a while back an old dance friend asked if I could help choreograph a burlesque style routine for an audition and I did. Which led the group to ask if I could make up a dance for them .. I said okay. Now I've procrastinated long enough and I really need to start!! So that's what's also been taking up a large portion of my time..


Yay for dance ^_^ I missed this! But yes, what have I been up to the past few days?

D finally got a hair cut! It was growing so long and because of the light color and texture, whenever it got a little greasy, it looked really greasy!! But he's all clean cut and sexy again ^_^ And Titus enjoyed playing his games while we waited as usual~ Him and his DS ...



Chinese New Year is officially on February 14. But I guess because of the clash of dates and booking issues, the festival was held a week early. Oddly enough, it was at West Edmonton Mall for the second year in a row and though not as extravagant as it used to be, I still thoroughly enjoyed it. There was WuShu and man, some of those kids are amazing! Dances were average .. ours were much better! If things work out in the future, maybe we'll do it again ..



I didn't snapshot this but I came across a Jack Skelington cell phone bell and I couldn't help it but think of WynterMynt immediately! We just couldn't help it!! And Titus got a mini Lion Dance puppet! And a goomba doll that wore a Mario hat! (I just realized that I left it at D's, otherwise I would take a picture of that for you..Next time!!) Usually Titus loves the Lion Dance, but this year he seemed very wary of it and wouldn't go near the stage. A few times, some people stepped in front of him and blocked his view. He would cautiously creep around them to have a little peek and when he realized that he went too far, he'd come running straight back to the booth where I was standing. Too cute (^0^)



Saturday evening was the banquet for my godsister's daughter, Kaedence!! In Chinese tradition, it's like a lunar birthday when the baby is 1 month. (See link for tradition explanation: http://chineseculture.about.com/library/weekly/aa021901a.htm) Kaedence is a little fighter! She was born September 24, three months premature. She spent 84 days in the hospital before she went home for the first time. When I held her, she was so little and warm that I just wanted to smother her in kisses! But due to her delicate nature .. I couldn't .. =^_^= But it was a wonderful dinner and it was full of games, activities, and tons and tons of laughter!




D also found the helium balloons ..



It was such a warm and loving night! I saw a lot of people that I hadn't seen in years! All of them of course, my seniors and people who remember me from my childhood. Ah .. I miss those innocent days where I didn't have to worry about anything .. reminiscing moment ..


That pretty much sums up my weekend! Sunday was laaaaazy~ Woke up at 9, played games until 11.30 .. had McDonalds again .. dropped D off at work and went home and choreographed a little more dance and cleaned up doggie poo and baby puke .. multiple times .. YAAAAY!!

02.03.2010 - Clumsy ..

I need energy .. I've been lacking in it really bad lately .. I wonder why? Oh well! I need the energy that Wuwu and Titus always have together!! One day I swear ..





Work sucks. My Executive Director is a disrespectful conceited dick-tator. He was a salesman for a huge printer company and now that he's moved to a non-profit association, he's becoming worse and worse. The man doesn't realize his pushy and better-than-thou attitude doesn't get him anything. One of the girls that I work with is leaving me soon and I'm just crossing my fingers that something will get better there ... or if I can find another job somewhere. =\ Here's to hoping!

I have a friend that went to Korea earlier this year and I asked him for the huge favor or bringing me back Triple 7 cigarettes. And I also said that if he can, grab the red Marlboro's as well. The Triple 7's were for D's dad for X-mas .. well .. my friend only came back with the Marlboro's .. cuz he could only bring one carton with him. =( He didn't bring back the ones that I wanted .. but I gave it to D's dad anyways.
Turns out he doesn't smoke those ..
So I have to see if another friend can help me =\ Oh well!

I went to Futureshop yesterday. I needed to get a cable adapter because I have a wierless mouse and keyboard and the receiver has two plugs at the end: one for the keyboard, one for the mouse. The thing that I don't understand is that the keyboard plug has a USB end, but the mouse one has only a PS/2 end! My computer is newer .. and it has ONLY USB PORTS!! I was like crap .. so I went to futureshop, bought the damn cable adapter for $19 .. yay ..
At the end of the night when I came home .. I pluged it in, restarted my computer and all that jazz. It ddin't work. It detected it, and it auto-installed it. But my mouse won't work still!! The keyboar works beautifully but not the mouse!!! I did everything! And this set doesn't need the drivers installed from the website. =( I don't know what to do!! It might be the cable .. it's not the batteries because I did change them. I fail .....

For dinner, D, Titus, and I went to a Vietnamese restaurant called Ninh Kieu that's popular for their vermicelli and rice dishes. Thier pho is terrible .. and their bun bo hue is .. questionable. Yes. Overall, it was a very good meal ^_^ For $10 bucks, I got a lot of food. D got a REALLY NUMMY vermicelli bowl! And Titus got pieces from both our plates ^_^ nom nom nom





I went to the mall after to look for a baby gift for this Saturday. It's my god sister's daughter's .. dinner celebration. It's not really a birthday.. In Chinese tradition, there's a big dinner held for the child at one month. In a way it's a baby shower, but also in a way, it was to celebrate that the baby survived. Back then, children had a hard time surviving infancy, so when the baby did make it, it was like Celebrate!! But this tradition held on for more of a gathering and gift reception, not because baby is still alive ..

Anyways, at the mall, we walked by the nail salon that I usually go to. I decided to get my eyebrows waxed. Okay. So did D. (>w<) Titus didn't really like the fact that there was gob being put on my face and he shouted at her each time she did it. It was cute .. it was like he was trying to protect me ^_^ Note to self: If you ever have certain standards when it comes to eyebrow plucking, waxing, or whatever, make sure to tell the people that are doing it for you too.
I have this thing where I do not touch the hairs above the eyebrow. I believe that that line refines the shape of your natural brow. I only remove the hairs under the brow and from the bottom of the brow. That's how I've done it for years.. Well .. the lady waxed on top. I didn't want her to, but each time I go there, most of the ladies know that I don't like it touched. I forgot she never did it for me before and it was too late to tell her. (-__-)" My eyebrows look so thin now and I really don't like it .. D likes it and told me to draw eyebrows in if I wanted to. The point of my thicker brows was cuz it looked natural and it wasn't just a line! I kept staring at my brows in the car .. feeling sad... It's .. a line .. I have lines for eyebrows .. bwuah .. I cried myself to sleep over it last night. I'm kidding. But I am sad. I'll just have to let them grow back out..
But obviously, Titus had fun waiting around haha
Oh. And D got a manicure. No, not a french manicure, just a manicure. She cut off all the cuticles, filed his nails, and smoothed them out. He kept staring at his hands after saying that he never knew his fingernails were supposed to look that good. He's a chef .. of course his hands are going to be scraggly and gross. But after she was done with them, they looked so healthy! And I could hold his hand without scratching myself. But it brought me to this inquiry:

Who's wearing the pants in this relationship?

I don't care about my nails that much and neither about my looks.. I'm not wild about anything appearance wise.. why may you ask? It's because I am so darn lazy! That and I've found that the more make-up and designer clothes a person wears, the more they are trying to conceal their true personality. The thicker the layer, the thicker the mask. And most of you know me to be pretty open and true about myself. Heck. I shared about my infection .. haha

Oh speaking of clumsy .. that was the point of this blog .. lol. I was trying put on my pants yesterday but at the same time I really had to pee .. so as I half hopped to the bathroom and half had my pants on .. I stepped on the pant leg and tripped and it made my right foot curl. Like my toes bent down too far .. and now the toe knuckle is horridly sore. =( So the moral of my story is to do one thing at a time ...

So I'm going to go lay back in bed and play games and hopefully fall asleep .. I hope you all have a lovable day~

Oh February is here and I'm feeling the love already! And very soon my little monster turns 4!

Over the weekend I went to WynterMynt's place and her nacho night turned into a pasta night! And a Wuwu and Vongsa came too and it was a happy gathering! Mr. Awesome and I had a little dispute over the sauces .. he can't stand the cream sauce, I don't like the tangy tomato taste from the red ones, and Titus doesn't like red pasta .. So we had TWO! I had to fry the onions, spinach, chicken, and grape tomatoes seperately and WynterMynt boiled the pasta on the side. We had to do everything seperately so it could accomodate everyone's specific tastes. He harrassed me a couple times because he was all "Woman, what are you doing to my pasta sauce?!" Shush you! I'M COOKING NOT YOU!! It was a grand night in the end and I absolutely loved it! I wish D was there but he had to work ... =( If we can, I want to do something like this again! But get the guys to cook this time ..

I love my mother. I really really do. But sometimes she does things that it makes me want to pull my hair out. She called me and said that she needed my help to clean out her office at her workplace. I had no real choice because she was in Toronto and the workplace gave her a deadline. I said sure .. Now if you can imagine a desk owned by the Queen of Packrats .. think 10x that and that might be close to what my mother is like. On Saturday afternoon, D came with me and we cleared a lot off the top of the desk. There was a workstation outside of the office and we filled underneath with newpapers and magazines and 3 garbage bins full of crap my mother never learned to throw out. She had so many folders for anything .. she had maybe 50 color photocopies of a $10, 000 bill.

Can somebody please tell me why anyone in their right mind would do this? She had a few of them laminated and put on the desk and on the wall!! The next day I told her I threw out her junk and she panicked saying she "needs them!" I asked her for what in St. Mary's name she would need 50 color photocopies of a Canadian $10,000 bill?

I want them to place around me!

Yes, please, whatever you are thinking now, this is my mother. I mentioned this before but it irks me every time I think of it. Once my uncle asked her what she planned to do to buy the BMW she wanted so bad. Hold onto the edge of your seat everyone, cuz this is going to blow your hair away: If I think hard enough about it, it'll come to me.

Yeah, no. No. Uh. Yeah. Still .. no ..

There were stone statues and decorations and they friggen weighed a million pounds! We had to roll them downstairs on chairs and shove 5 boxes, 6 leather briefcases, 2 computer towers, a monitor, and a $%!@ load of stuff into my little 2003 Accord .. yes it is a bigger vehicle but GOD I can't fit that maybe items into the backseat and my trunk! Even if God did give me a miracle to make me believe!!! I was there Sunday night too by the way ... I guess Sunday morning the cleaners came and cleaned everything out from the crap I put under the table. Yeah .. when I left that night, it was filled up again .. I would've taken a picture for you all but heck that would've given you nightmares! She had BOXES FULL OF MAGAZINES! If my mom wants a magazine, she'll get three of them. If she wants the yellow pages, she wants 2. And she'll keep them. I found calendars and phone books from 2006 on. HULLO~ It's 2010!! GET WITH THE PROGRAM!!!
I can go on and on and on and on about my mother .. but it would only make me laugh to myself and stress me out some more .. .. my mom's lovable yes. But she fell off her rocker a long time ago and it broke so she can't get back on .. ^^b Here's to dragging her where ever she needs to go!

I had a haircut over the weekend ^__^ I love my hairdresser, he does such a good job! He wouldn't let me take a picture with him because he was super camera shy .. So I creeped his facebook and found a picture of him that didn't show his face. Yeah I cheated but heck it works. Sorry Jaxson! If any of you need a new hairdresser and wants someone who can actually do hair, go to this guy! Message me if you want details!

I didn't take a picture of my hair .. which I horribly regret because he styled it so so well! He also cute the Ice Princess' hair and when he was done, that smile on her face lit up the entire room. Her hair looked gorgeous after it was finished. I just wanted to pet her all night ^__^

It's time to get away from my internet life and off for grocery shopping!! I hope you enjoyed another chapter in the life of wonderful little me~ Good night everyone!
